As costs rise and Oregon’s commitment falters, frustration grows over the project’s direction
The I-5 Bridge replacement effort has already cost hundreds of millions in planning, with Washington funding continuing despite Oregon’s failure to pass a transportation package. As doubts grow over funding, priorities, and accountability, many Southwest Washington residents are asking whether this version of the project is the right one. All of the above.
There are VERY few people riding the bus. When I see a bus, I rarely see more than 3 people! What a waste!
i hate to sound like a broken record but as i’ve said here b4 we the voters have overwhelmingly voted and said no to the lightrail boondoggle multiple times. when will the leaders of clark county and the city of vancouver do as we have spoken. their job is to work and look out for us. these leaders need to start listening to us and not cave to portland and the funds they need to keep their lightrail running because the federal government monies will disappear at some point.
this is my opinion which i believe i/we still have that right until that too is ignored and/or taken from us.
The poll should have offered an “all of the above” choice. The sad fact is that the planners, as usual, do not try to serve the actual needs of the public, but rather wish to force a pre-determined “ideal plan” down the throats of the taxpayers. The inevitable result is an expensive project that does not solve or relieve any of the actual problems of interest to commuters or taxpayers.
All of the above.
Also, we voted no on the light rail over and over. The people have said what they want! When will the government here realize they work for the people, not their own agenda?
Literally all top three. We dont need it or want it
