
A huge schedule for state playoffs for Clark County high school teams as Class 2A and 1A volleyball will crown state champions Saturday, plus there are state playoff games in football and girls soccer

One of the greatest runs in high school state volleyball history continued Friday when Columbia River won back-to-back matches to open the Class 2A state tournament in Yakima.
The Rapids have now won 18 consecutive championship-bracket matches dating back to 2021 and are hoping for two more wins today to claim their fifth consecutive state title.
Meanwhile, the La Center Wildcats also won two matches Friday, advancing to the Class 1A state volleyball semifinals.
It’s November, and the state playoffs in football, girls soccer, and volleyball have started.
In football, Washougal’s season came to an end Friday night in the first round of the Class 2A state playoffs. The Panthers, who won the Class 2A Greater St. Helens League, lost to No. 2 Tumwater 47-7. Washougal finished the season with a 9-2 record.
Three Clark County football teams play in the first round Saturday, and all three are in action in Camas..
In 4A, No. 8 Camas is hosting No. 9 Skyline at Doc Harris Stadium. Kickoff is 2 p.m.
In 1A, it’s No. 9 La Center vs. No. 8 Seton Catholic — two Trico League rivals — against each other. That game is at 7 p.m., also at Doc Harris Stadium in Camas.
In volleyball, Columbia River, the No. 2 seed, beat No. 15 Cedarcrest in straight sets. The Rapids then beat No. 7 Selah in four sets. The Rapids face No. 3 Ellensburg in one semifinal on Saturday morning. The finals are set for 8 p.m. Saturday.
La Center, the 6-seed, swept No. 11 Lakeside, then went the distance to beat No. 3 Cascade Christian in five thrilling sets. The Wildcats take on No. 7 Meridian on one semifinal Saturday morning. The championship match of the 1A tournament is scheduled for 6:15 p.m.
In girls soccer, No. 3 Skyview is hosting No. 11 Mead in the Class 4A quarterfinals at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kiggins Bowl.
There are two Clark County teams in the quarterfinals in the Class 2A bracket. No. 1 Columbia River is hosting No. 8 East Valley of Yakima at 2 p.m. Saturday. Hockinson, the 6-seed, is on the road against No. 3 Sehome. That match starts at 1 p.m.
In Class 1A, No. 2 Seton Catholic has a home match against No. 7 University Prep. That match is at 3:30 p.m.
