City revival will feature free food for all, clothing for those in need, and family fun activities all in the name of Jesus
An event at Esther Short Park in downtown Vancouver this weekend will feature free food for all, clothing for those in need, live music, prayer, and more.
All for one purpose.
“He is the reason,” said Jesse Gellatly, the chief coordinator of Jesus Fest. “It’s not done under the banner of one church or one organization. Many have come together, volunteered … to see God move in our city. My hope is people will find peace with God and purpose for living. Purpose. Joy.”
Jesus Fest, a city wide revival, opens at noon Saturday and returns at noon Sunday for a “powerful weekend of hope, salvation, healing, and deliverance,” according to the event’s website.
“We are believing for healing and hope for the city of Vancouver,” Gellatly said.
Barbecue burgers and hot dogs will be cooked for all, while those in need will be able to pick up clothing. There will also be resources for the homeless and/or the addicted to get help.
There will be the opportunity to worship God with the community through music and prayer. Plus face painting and other family fun activities.
Also on the schedule are powerful testimonies of hope, healing, and freedom.
“It’s like healing for the community,” Gellatly said.
