CAMAS – On May 19, 2024 at about 5:43 a.m., masked subjects in a stolen Ford truck attempted to steal an outdoor ATM from the Riverview Community Bank located at 450 NE 3rd Ave, Camas.
Using the truck, a heavy chain and a tow hook, they pulled the ATM off its concrete base. The subjects attempted to break into the ATM vault but were unsuccessful, and did not obtain any currency. They fled in the stolen truck moments before police arrived. The damage they caused was extensive and was estimated to be more than $80,000.
