Motorcyclist killed after colliding with SUV
The operator of a motorcycle was killed Wednesday when he collided with a SUV in North Clark County.
On Wednesday (June 29) at about 8:35 p.m., Clark County Sheriff’s Office deputies, North County EMS and Fire District 10 personnel responded to the 16700 block of NE Grantham Road on the report of an injury collision.
The preliminary investigation determined a motorcyclist was traveling westbound on NE Grantham Road when the rider crossed the center-line and collided with an oncoming 2016 Ford Expedition. The driver of the Expedition was not injured in the collision. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit is investigating the collision. No further information or names will be released at this time pending notifications to next of kin. Excessive speed is believed to be a contributing factor at this time.
