Reserve Boo Buckets through Generations Church

Church will fill 1,000 buckets of candy for children throughout the community

It’s a spooky time of year, but have no fear, Halloween with Generations has you covered.

Need a boo basket, full of candy on Halloween? There are plenty, on a first-come, first-served basis.

“It is important to us because we really want to work for the good of generations to come,” said Kyle Davies, the lead pastor of Generations Church. “We want to be a blessing and add value to the community. In a time of stress, upheaval, and division, anything we can do to bring joy and happiness to kids and families in our community. How do we be a blessing for joy and happiness?”

This is one way. Those who would like a bucket need to register for one. The church has 1,000 boo buckets, a safe Halloween bucket full of candy, to be picked up on Halloween from 3 to 6 p.m. at 14313 NE 20th Ave., in Vancouver.

There will be carnival games, as well, during those hours for those who want to participate. And prizes for costumes.

Or, for those families still not ready for gatherings, simply drive up, pick up the boo bucket, and head home.

Davies said the event’s hours were specifically made for families who still want to do trick-or-treating in their own neighborhoods. This gives them time to do both.

“We know Halloween is a fun time for you and your kids each year. COVID has changed many of our normal rhythms,” Davies said in a press release. “We know some of you are ready for house-to-house trick-or-treating while others are not. We want to provide a fun Halloween experience that everyone with different comfort levels can enjoy.”

Dough Boys Pizza and Snap Fitness are among the businesses that are helping to sponsor the event. To reserve a Boo Bucket, go to: https://mygenerations.church/halloween2021/
