Woodland Shop With a Cop hosts more than 180 area children

More than 180 area children participated in the 12th annual Shop With a Cop event Saturday at the Woodland Walmart

More than 180 area children participated in the annual Shop With a Cop event at the Woodland Walmart Saturday (Dec. 10). It was the 12th year the event was held.

Each of the children were given $100 to shop for Christmas gifts for themselves and family members. The children were accompanied by approximately 40 officers from area law enforcement agencies.

The agencies that participated in this year’s event included the Woodland Police Department, Ridgefield Police Department, Kalama Police Department, Cowlitz Tribal Police, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, Washington Department of Corrections, Vancouver Police Department and the Washington State Patrol.
