One day is not enough.
Not for Tuff Trucks.
They are just too popular.
The Clark County Fair understands this, and that is why Tuff Trucks are back for a second day in a row, performing two shows at the grandstands on Saturday.
Fairgoers should also bring a healthy appetite to the fair on Saturday, Aug. 10. Or at least a desire to watch other hungry people do their thing.
Saturday is the annual cheeseburger eating contest. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m., with the competition beginning at 1 p.m. at the Holt Homes Community Stage.
Earlier in the day, there will be a toddler trot contest in the Kids’ Park. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. for the 11 a.m. competition.
Among the musical acts on Saturday at the community stage, Takin’ the Fifth band plays at 2 p.m., Jolene’s Vocals Studios has a performance at 3:15 p.m., and HANGFIRE band takes over at 4:30 p.m.
Of course, all the daily attractions at the 2024 fair continue, including the featured exhibit Dino Encounters.
A reminder that the rides in the carnival do not open until noon every day at the fair. But on Saturday, the fair is open an extra hour, until 11 p.m. That gives people plenty of time to experience the Clark County Fair after dark, with all its glorious lighting.
