Washougal Police identify woman found dead in her apartment


Victim identified as 71-year-old Sandra Ladd

The Washougal Police Department released the name of the woman found dead in her home on June 14. The victim of the suspected homicide is 71-year-old Sandra Ladd, of Washougal.

Emergency responders from the Washougal Fire Department and Washougal Police Department were dispatched shortly after 4:30 p.m. on June 14 to the 1900 block of 41st Street in Washougal where they found Ladd dead in her home.

The medical examiner determined Ladd died of stab wounds to the torso. The manner of death is listed as homicide. No arrests have been made and investigators do not believe there is a danger to the public at this time.

The Washougal Police Department and the Clark County Major Crimes Unit are actively investigating and do not plan to release further details.
