On Monday (July 18) at 5:45 p.m., the Vancouver Fire Department was dispatched to the northbound on ramp to I-5 for a rollover accident involving a tanker truck.
When the initial fire crews arrived they found one tanker truck on its top with black liquid pouring out of the tank and onto the highway. Crews were able to quickly identify the material and attempted to stop the liquid from entering the nearby drains.

The Vancouver Fire Department Hazardous materials team along with the Department of Ecology were dispatched to the scene for technical assistance. The westbound lanes of Mill Plain were shut down for a period of time.
