
Vancouver Police Department says impairment was not a factor in Friday’s incident
The Vancouver Police Department responded to a collision involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle on Friday, and the motorcycle rider was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A Ford Ranger pulled out from the AM/PM driveway near Grand Boulevard and Mill Plain Boulevard just before 3 p.m. Friday. The Ranger crossed all eastbound lanes on Mill Plain in an effort to reach the turn lane northbound on Grand. The Ranger pulled in front of the motorcycle, which was traveling eastbound on Mill Plain.
The driver of the Ranger was not injured and remained on scene. No impairment was believed to be involved, according to a press release from Vancouver PD.
