Republican leaders of house and senate call the governor’s mandates ‘the strictest in the nation’
House Republican Leader J.T. Wilcox (Republican, 2nd District) and Senate Republican Leader John Braun (Republican, 20th District) have authored a letter to Gov. Jay Inslee expressing their opposition to the governor’s vaccine mandates.

Thank you for publishing the letter from Wilcox and Braun. I’m a very conscientious employee who rarely takes sick time or personal days. If not granted an exemption to the draconian vax mandate, people like me will lose a lot financially, but it’s essential to show the “elite” running everything that we stand for freedom of conscience. There are safe, proven treatments for this virus. The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and I’m compelled to protect it from defilement. I reserve my inalienable right to bodily autonomy and integrity.
