About Furry Friends
Furry Friends is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue and welfare of cats, proudly serving Clark County, Washington, and neighboring counties. Established in 1999, we operate as a volunteer-driven entity, committed to rescuing, nurturing, and rehoming homeless, surrendered, and mistreated felines.
Our mission is to provide them with a safe haven for as long as necessary until they find their forever homes. We offer comprehensive support, including medical examinations, medications, spaying/neutering, sustenance, and litter, extending our care to approximately 650 cats annually. As the largest cat-exclusive shelter in our region, we are steadfast in our commitment to feline welfare.

In the year 2023, we take pride in having found loving homes for 500 cats and kittens so far. By the end of the year we should go past 600 adoptions, marking a significant achievement in our history. Without the unwavering support of our dedicated team and compassionate supporters, many of these cats might have faced euthanasia, endured life on the streets, or contributed to the overpopulation of kittens within our community.
Furry Friends thrives thanks to a remarkable community of over 150 volunteers, hailing from diverse backgrounds, who generously offer their time, skills, and talents in service of our feline companions. Our organization is guided by an active, volunteer-led Executive Board, ensuring our continued success in fulfilling our mission. Notably, in the year 2022, our devoted volunteers collectively contributed an impressive 41,000 hours of service, exemplifying our commitment to the well-being of cats in need.
