Clark County councilors approve contract with Kathleen Otto as interim county manager

VANCOUVER – Members of the Clark County Council have unanimously approved a contract with Kathleen Otto to continue as interim county manager through at least May 31, 2021. Otto has been interim county manager since March of this year. She has previously served as deputy county manager, director of internal services and director of human resources.

“During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kathleen has demonstrated exceptional leadership in working with county departments and elected offices during this unprecedented time,” said Council Chair Eileen Quiring. “Her hard work has been integral to the county’s ability to effectively and efficiently address the county’s role in responding to the pandemic.”

“Kathleen will continue working in the full capacity of county manager. She has served as interim county manager with dedication, excellence and professionalism and the council desires to recognize and confirm her continued service,” said Quiring.
