On Tuesday (Aug. 20) at about 3:50 p.m., the Vancouver Police Department Digital Evidence Cybercrime Unit (DECU), with the assistance of the Crime Reduction Unit (CRU), UAS operators, and the United States Marshals Service (USMS), arrested McGlothlin.
On Monday (Aug. 19), DECU missing persons detectives identified McGlothlin as the suspect of the attempted abduction of an 11-year-old child Sunday at Leiser Crest Park, located at 7510 Virginia Lane in Vancouver. McGlothlin was driving a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was registered to a rental car company. McGlothlin was not the listed renter.
Based on intel gathered by detectives on Tuesday, they learned the possible whereabouts of McGlothlin. Surveillance was established near NE 18th Street and NE 148th Avenue in Vancouver.
