Business: Prestige Care is looking for compassionate caregivers to join its team

Employment opportunities are part-time and temporary at two Vancouver locations

VANCOUVER – Prestige Care, a family-owned operator of Discovery Nursing and Rehab of Vancouver and Prestige Assisted Living at Hazel Dell, is looking to expand its team of compassionate, part-time staff members to help provide personalized care to its residents, patients and their families.

Prestige is hiring hospitality aides and personal care attendants that demonstrate core values of respect, integrity, commitment and trust. These team members will help deliver high-quality care that is tailored to the needs and choices of the Prestige Care community, and work with full-time staff to ensure that everyone is treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.

“Like the rest of the nation, we are closely monitoring the impact COVID-19 has had and want to make sure we are doing everything we can to not only protect the well-being of our residents, patients and staff – but also our communities,” said Jason Delamarter, chief operating officer at Prestige Care. “We know that COVID-19 is costing a lot of hard-working people their jobs, and we want to stand by our neighbors during this time. If you are service-minded and want to help make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, please reach out – we’re here for you.”

Prestige Care is hiring enterprise wide, with many of its senior living and skill nursing communities in Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Nevada and Washington looking for hospitality aides or personal care attendants.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, and previous experience is preferred but not required. Essential duties will include helping residents and patients with non-direct care requests, such as delivering food, housekeeping and laundry services, and following environmental cleaning and disinfection protocols.

Delamarter added that successful candidates must pass a comprehensive health screening for COVID-19 and other related medical conditions before hiring. He also noted that if positions require state certification or training, including food service or CPR, Prestige is dedicated to assisting applicants.

Prestige Care is committed to safeguarding the well-being of its residents, patients and staff, and is closely following existing policies and procedures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. As part of the hiring process, Prestige Care is complying with all recommendations from local and state health authorities and adhering to the environmental infection control guidelines set by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
