The private school’s The Way Forward is a multi-phase master plan to meet the demand for faith-based education in the coming decades
King’s Way Christian Schools will celebrate a major milestone with a groundbreaking celebration for its new 48,000 square-foot K-8 school building, with a ceremony at 5 p.m. Friday
The project is part of The Way Forward, a multi-phase master plan to meet the rising demand for faith-based education in Clark County for the next 50 years.
King’s Way Christian currently serves more than 1,100 students through the 12th grade, with enrollment projected to reach 1,700 within the next decade.
The ceremony is at 5 p.m. and guests are encouraged to stay for the high school football team’s games against Kalama, which starts at 6 p.m.
“This groundbreaking celebration marks the culmination of years of prayer, faithfulness, and generosity,” said Dr. Jason Tindol, superintendent of King’s Way Christian Schools. “Our mission will never be centered around buildings, but this is an important step that allows us to expand access for students in Clark County to receive a life-changing, faith-based education. Families deserve educational options that align with their values, and this building helps us provide that opportunity.”
In the spring of 2025, King’s Way purchased more than 20 acres from Vancouver Church, including the high school and 4th-8th grade buildings, soccer/football stadium and field, and the east field that connects to Luke Jensen Sports Park. This acquisition was part of the master plan, which includes expanded facilities across all age levels. Groundwork officially began for the new K-8 building last month.
- The new facility will include:
- 30-plus classrooms
- A turfed and enclosed courtyard
- Specialized classrooms including music, science labs, art, and an atrium
This groundbreaking follows other major projects, including:
- The remodel of the 4-8th grade building to house King’s Way’s award-winning Learning Center
- Converting existing space in the high school in a performing arts wing
- A renovated high school gymnasium
Founded in 1971, King’s Way Christian Schools is an open-enrollment, non-denominational faith-based school. Serving students from 12 months through 12th grade, King’s Way partners with families to point students to Christ through academics, athletics, and the arts.
