The Clark County Fair opens Friday, and C-TRAN has shuttles from several locations throughout the county to bring fairgoers directly to the fairgrounds — at no cost

The Clark County Fair and C-TRAN have always been good teammates in the goal to bring fairgoers to the fairgrounds.
The 157th Clark County Fair opens its 10-day run Friday, and C-TRAN has got your back if you are in need, or simply just want, transportation to Ridgefield.
“C-TRAN is proud to continue our long-standing partnership with the Clark County Fair and provide free shuttle service to the fairgrounds from eight locations across the county,” said Eric Florip, manager of communications and marketing for C-TRAN. “We often find that C-TRAN’s fair shuttles provide a positive experience for many people who don’t normally use public transit. That’s a benefit for the rider, for the community, and for C-TRAN.”
Many fairgoers prefer to drive and park at the fairgrounds. But many of them would acknowledge there is plenty of congestion. And at times, it could mean a long walk to the attractions.
The C-TRAN shuttles drop off fairgoers right in front of one of the main gates.
C-TRAN also offers a financial incentive. The shuttle service is free, so there are no parking fees, plus those who use the shuttle receive a $1 coupon for admission to the fair.
The shuttle services are run from eight locations, starting around noon each day.
- Vancouver Mall Transit Center (Bay H): Service begins at noon each day
- 99th Street Transit Center (Bay G): Service begins at noon each day
- Mill Plain Transit Center (Bay E): Service begins at 12:15 p.m. each day
- Fisher’s Landing Transit Center (Bay H): Service begins at 12:25 p.m. each day
- Yacolt: Service begins at 11:30 a.m. each day. Pickup location at Yacolt Road & Railroad Avenue (Stop ID #3741).
- Battle Ground: Service begins at noon each day. Pickup location at CAM Academy (Lewisville Intermediate School Campus).
- La Center High School: Service begins at noon each day
- Ridgefield Junction Park & Ride: Service begins at 12:13 p.m. each day
“In addition to free shuttles, C-TRAN will also have staff on hand inside the fairgrounds for all 10 days of the event. We encourage anyone to stop by for special giveaways and information, or just to say hello,” Florip said. “This year and every year, C-TRAN is proud to be part of our community’s biggest celebration of the place we call home.”

The 157th edition of the fair opens at 10 a.m. Friday. Here are some of the entertainment highlights for opening day:
The Ice Age Adventures, the feature exhibit, opens daily at 10 a.m. On Friday, there are live shows at 2:30, 4:30, and 6:30 p.m.
Curly the Camel and friends are back this year, as well.
DogTown opens at 11 a.m.
The Opening Day Parade is at 2 p.m.
Stay a Little Longer and you’ll be able to see the Brothers Osborne in concert. This is the first of three headliner concerts over the first three days of the fair.
