The city of Vancouver special events scheduled for Friday (Aug. 5) will continue as planned
VANCOUVER – Vancouver Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services has canceled the Sunday, Aug. 7 performance of the Sunday Sounds Concert Series due to forecasted extreme heat. Kalimba was set to headline the concert at Columbia Tech Center Park (S.E. Sequoia Circle at S.E. Tech Center Drive). The Sunday Sounds Concert Series is presented by Columbia Tech Center and iQ Credit Union.
The city of Vancouver special events scheduled for Friday (Aug. 5) will continue as planned. The Waterfront Park Concert Series welcomes Mbrascatu to Vancouver Waterfront Park (695 Waterfront Way) at 6 p.m. The Friday Night Movie at Fruit Valley Neighborhood Park will host a screening of Disney’s “Cruella” starting at dusk, with pre-show entertainment at 7 p.m. Both Friday events are free and open to all ages.
The Waterfront Park Concert Series is presented by Riverview Community Bank with support from Waterfront Taphouse. Free Friday Night Movies in the Parks is presented by HAPO Credit Union and Country Financial with support from Columbia Artists Network.
