The “Show Downtown Vancouver Some Love” community volunteer event begins at 10 a.m. May 19 at Propstra Square inside Esther Short Park. Volunteers of any age are invited to take part in a few hours of planting flowers, removing litter and weeds and tackling other landscaping tasks in the downtown core.

It’s a partnership between the Parks Foundation of Clark County, Vancouver’s Downtown Association and the city of Vancouver.

Snacks donated by Simply Sweets  will be provided to volunteers during the 10 a.m. orientation. Volunteers will also be provided lunch donated by the Vancouver Hilton. Those who plan to attend are encouraged to RSVP.

This event is also being sponsored by Waste Connections, Solve and the sale of engraved bricks at Propstra Square through the Parks Foundation of Clark County.
