Former Falcon, now pro athlete to hold basketball clinic

Prairie graduate Grant Sitton will be in town in June

Grant Sitton is coming home from Europe to put on a basketball clinic for Clark County youngsters.

Sitton, a 2011 graduate of Prairie High School, now plays professional basketball in Europe. Beyond basketball skills, he will share his story of never giving up on one’s dream. Not a star in high school, he improved his skills and shined in college in Canada before heading overseas in 2017.

His clinic, for boys and girls in grades 4-8, will be held in the evenings June 14-16 at King’s Way Christian High School. Cost is $100, but discounts are available for more than one camper.

Sitton is finishing his season with the Donar Gronigen club in Holland, which is playing the championship series of the Dutch League.

Earlier this year, his parents and four sisters all visited him in Holland. The Sitton family was kind of a who’s who of Prairie athletics for more than a decade. His sisters all earned scholarships for basketball or volleyball.

ClarkCountyToday.com featured Grant Sitton in 2017 prior to his first season of professional basketball. He played a year in Slovakia before moving to the club in Holland.
