The Windhaven Ride for Veterans raises money for mental health treatment for local veterans living with PTSD, trauma and other invisible wounds of military service. The Windhaven Veterans Program uses equine therapy, allowing veterans to work with horses as an alternative to traditional treatment approaches. The program has an 81 percent completion rate, compared with dropout rates as high as 68 percent in traditional veteransโ€™ programs.
