A substantial amount of donations have been collected from the community and are giving everything away for free to those in need
VANCOUVER — River City Church, known for its dedication to serving the local community, announces its 3rd annual Free For All Yard Sale on Sun., June 9 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. They have collected a substantial amount of donations (more than ever before) from the community and are giving everything away for free to those in need.
Canned goods will be collected as an entry fee and donated to Share Vancouver to feed houseless individuals. Furniture, kitchen goods, toys, decor, and more will be available.
“As housing and living expenses continue to rise rapidly, we recognize the increasing challenges faced by many in our community and are committed to making a tangible difference,” said Pastor Ryan Sidhom. “Our mission is to be a beacon of hope and support, providing essential items and a sense of community to those who need it most.”
On the 2nd Sunday of each month, River City Church skips their typical “worship service” to serve their community through a volunteer project — just like this one.
“Jesus said that His followers should be known by their love,” said Pastor Sidhom. “So we want to be known by our love… no strings attached! Our desire is to be a blessing to the community. We regularly invite local businesses and organizations to partner with us, either by volunteering or by contributing supplies.”
