Life is just a party, and parties weren’t meant to last.
Thank you Prince for those lyrics. They are fitting.
After all, Summer’s Best Party is about to come to an end.
Sunday is the last day of the 2026 Clark County Fair. For 10 days every August, all associated with the fair try to bring the best entertainment money can buy for Clark County. Once again, the fair has delivered, and it is time to say goodbye.
Headlining the grandstands arena will be the second day of Tuff Trucks, with performances at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Because it is Sunday, we are reminded of those great marketing campaigns for events such as this one: “Sunday, Sunday, Sunday. We’ll sell you the whole seat, but you’ll only need the edge!”
Come see drivers take their trucks to the extreme with a track full of mud, jumps, and sharp turns.
If you are hungry, there is a pie eating contest at 12:30 p.m.
There are musical acts on the Community Stage, as well.
Tyzen the Comedy Hypnotist has a couple of shows, including an 8:30 performance. Why is that significant? It is officially the last thing on the official fair schedule.
Don’t worry, the fair stays open until 10 p.m., or maybe a little bit longer.
The fair opens at 10 a.m, but a reminder that the carnival and its thrilling rides does not open until noon. But here is a little not-so-secret. On the final night of the fair, it has been tradition that the carnival stays open a little longer, to ensure those in line get to hop on their favorite ride one last time.
Plus there are the other staples at the fair. Food. Vendors. So many activities.
Once again, Barnyard Races and the Pirate’s Parrot Show will have several daily shows.
DogTown will be open most of the day, as well.
Mars Encounters, the featured exhibit for families, is open all day, but also has three live shows throughout the day: 2:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m.
Those are just some of the highlights for Sunday. For a full list of activities, go to the fair schedule at: https://www.clarkcofair.com/daily-schedule
