
Local theater company has six performances scheduled, starting March 8
Some of the biggest names in rock and pop music have contributed to a musical that will be presented by performers from Journey Theater.
When the citizens of Bikini Bottom discover that a volcano will soon erupt and destroy their humble home, SpongeBob and his friends must come together to save the fate of their undersea world.
The SpongeBob Musical presented by Journey Theater will have six performances, with opening night set for March 8 at The Washburn PAC at Washougal High School.


Original music from Yolanda Adams, Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Sara Bareilles, Jonathan Coulton, The Flaming Lips, Lady Antebellum, Cyndi Luaper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T’s, They Might Be Giants, Lil’ C, David Bowie, and more are part of this musical.
Tickets are on sale at journeytheater.org or by calling 360-750-8550. Adults tickets are $19. Youth and senior citizens are $16. Tickets for all performances are $2 more at the door.
Performances are at 7 p.m. March 8, then at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on March 9. More performances are set for 7 p.m. March 15, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. March 16.
Journey Theater is a Jesus-centered nonprofit theater arts program that exists to grow youth and their families in character and purpose to be difference-makers in their world. Journey has been serving Clark County since 2002.
