Clark Public Utilities announced the Virtual Home & Garden Idea Fair, an online version of the utility’s marquis community event and the unofficial start to the home improvement season. The 2020 show would have been the 29th consecutive year of the Home & Garden Idea Fair.

“As disappointed as we were to cancel this year’s in-person event, we’re excited to launch the Virtual Home & Garden Idea Fair,” said Clark Public Utilities Marketing and Event Specialist Maxie Mayer. “Have your project list ready and prepare to be inspired, we’ve selected the region’s most talented businesses and vendors to offer visitors a wide range of goods and services.”

The 2020 show would have been the 29th consecutive year of the Home & Garden Idea Fair. Although this year’s format is different, returning visitors can expect the same look and feel they’ve come to expect from a Clark Public Utilities event.

While spending additional time at home in recent weeks, many property owners have had the opportunity to think deeper about their home improvement to-do list. The Virtual Home & Garden Idea fair is a resource for them to research the work involved and explore options with local contractors and service providers.

Attending the Virtual Home & Garden Idea Fair is easy. Visit www.homeandgardenideafair.com. There you’ll find hundreds of home and garden businesses as well as local nurseries—all ready to help make your home and garden dreams a reality. Many participating vendors have set up protocols to provide products and services as appropriate under the current physical distancing circumstances.

“During the Virtual Home & Garden Idea Fair customers can connect with more than 200 of the region’s most talented home and garden businesses from the comfort and convenience of home,” said Michael O’Loughlin, the utility’s communications coordinator who recruits all commercial vendors. “Even though we’ve presenting it in a different format, customers will still be able to find resources for all the plant materials, contractors and services they’ll need in one convenient location.”

A hallmark of the Clark Public Utilities Home & Garden Idea Fair is the annual food drive to support the Clark County Food and cash donations to Operation Warm Heart, a program providing home heating grants to families in financial crisis. These local organizations need our support more than ever. You can still have an impact by making a financial contribution to the Clark County Food bank or Operations Warm Heart online. Your support is much appreciated.
