A recent letter to the editor raised strong concerns about the direction of Vancouver’s city government — pointing to public health decisions, environmental oversight, and a lack of accountability as reasons for change. With local elections approaching, some residents are calling for a major shift in leadership. Do you think voters should prioritize replacing the mayor and city council members this year? Let us know in this week’s poll.

Mayor Anne and the whole City Council needs to be replaced by the voters.
As the little river band would say, “It’s time for a cool change!”
It is not too soon for candidates to start building a campaign. Look around at all of the local issues there are, and its hard to imagine any one of the current Council Critters actually defending some of the outrageous votes they have made.
Unfortunately it takes money to get elected, which means the sooner you start raising campaign money, the better. People cannot donate to your campaign if they do not know anything about it. Thank goodness for media platforms like Clark County Today that provide a much less biased forum than local print media does. Here we are not presented with a never-ending dose of Trump/Musk Derangement Syndrome.
There are four seats up for reelection this Fall, including the Mayor. We need energetic younger Citizens to step up and take control of the City back for the residents.
