Vancouver resident Ellen Townsen asks voters to not sign the Restore Election Confidence Initiative

REALLY?

Rob Anderson of Reform Clark County is gathering signatures for an initiative entitled The Restore Election Confidence Initiative for the November ballot. This initiative calls on the Clark County Elections Office to address issues that require an exorbitant amount of time, money, and effort.
Sigh!
There is nothing here to restore or reform! Despite the lack of evidence of election fraud on every level, Mr. Anderson and his cohorts are compelled to question a system that has worked effectively for several hundred years. Just because their candidate didn’t win doesn’t constitute taking out their frustrations on the elections office.
Reform Clark County’s paranoia, resentment, and insecurities are of their own doing and do not need to be taken out on an entity that works. The Clark County Elections Office has an excellent video (clark.gov.wa/elections) that explains in great detail every step of the election process and why it doesn’t need reform.
Reform Clark County is an extension of a MAGA movement that harasses anyone and everyone to pacify their own insecurities and extend their personal agendas. They don’t need signatures; they need therapy. I urge people to not sign this initiative. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

The Restore Election Confidence (REC) Initiative is based on facts, unlike Ms. Townsend’s partisan irrational rant.
This is all the opposition has. Not one person can make a rational argument against the REC because the reforms will only make our voting system better.

I’m sure you could show us those “facts”. The real facts are, someone once stated that the election was stolen and it’s been a **** show of proven false claims since.
Excellent letter Ellen Townsen! A voice of reason, thank you!
Rob Anderson and company, quit harassing me at my grocery store! No thank you means NO! You are obnoxious, pushy and rude.
I agree! Excellent letter and spot on target. We got over Covid, no thanks to the Donald, but I don’t know if we can get over MAGA.
Harassing you how? By participating in a legal activity that you don’t agree with? Who is subverting the democratic process now?
Harassing me by not taking no for an answer when asked to sign, and wanting to know why.
But mostly for being waved off dismissively to leave when I attempted to give an answer to the question they asked for.
Our system has not been the same for a hundred years. In the not so distant past, you had to go to the poles and show your voter’s registration card or request an absentee ballot. Our system is not as secure as it used to be.
