
The American Red Cross responded to the scene to assist the owner of the house
At 9:52 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 28), the Vancouver Fire Department was dispatched to 3332 E. 17 Street to a reported house fire. The first fire unit arrived three minutes after dispatch to find a single story house heavily involved with fire. Five engines, two trucks, two battalion chiefs and one squad responded with a total of 27 firefighters working on scene. The fire was under control after 30 minutes.
The American Red Cross responded to the scene to assist the owner of the house. The Vancouver Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire. There were no injuries reported.
