Report indicates a man who reportedly kicked in the door of an apartment was shot and killed by a resident
VANCOUVER – On Tuesday (Dec. 27) at about 8:56 a.m., Vancouver Police responded to the Fisher’s Mill Apartments, located in the 1000 block of SE 160th Ave., for the report of a disturbance with a weapon.
A resident in one of the units called 9-1-1 saying they shot a male who kicked in their door. According to the resident, the male is known to them and he had been making threats to one of their family members. When officers arrived, they located an adult male deceased. There were no other injuries reported.
The Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes Unit is continuing the investigation and no further information is releasable at this time. The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office will release cause and manner of death and the identity of the deceased.
