Vancouver Police investigate shooting


One male sent to area hospital with multiple gunshot wounds

VANCOUVER – The Vancouver Police Department’s Safe Streets Task Force and Major Crimes Unit are investigating a shooting Monday evening that sent one male to an area hospital.

At about 9:30 p.m. Monday (Oct. 26), Vancouver Police responded to the area of Northeast 87th Avenue and Northeast 12th Street for a report of shots fired involving two vehicles. When officers arrived, they located multiple shell casings but no victims.

A short time later, dispatch received a call regarding a male who returned home with gunshot wounds.  Officers responded to that residence and located a male with multiple gunshot wounds.  The male was transported to an area hospital.  A vehicle matching the description of one of the vehicles from the scene of the shooting was also located at the residence.
