SWAT officers responded to assist, and after several hours of negotiations, the male exited the apartment and surrendered to law enforcement

VANCOUVER – On Thursday (May 14), at about 11 a.m., Vancouver Police responded to the 1111 W. Columbia Way for the report that a male acquaintance of one of the resident’s had assaulted her. The woman, who was not seriously injured, left the apartment and met with police. The male remained inside the apartment and refused police commands to come out. He was reported to be armed with a knife.

A shelter in place warning was sent to residents of the apartment building and pedestrian and vehicle access in the area was restricted while police were on scene.

SWAT officers responded to assist, and after several hours of negotiations, the male exited the apartment and surrendered to law enforcement.

Dominique J. Lane, age 34, was booked into the Clark County Jail for Assault II-DV.
