Four residents were displaced by the fire
On Tuesday (Jan. 28) at 7:46 a.m., the Vancouver Fire Department was dispatched to the smell of smoke in a residential duplex at 4602 Plomondon St. in Vancouver. The first-arriving engine company found a single story duplex with smoke coming from the eaves of the structure.

The engine officer requested more resources to assist with the possible fire. In all, two ladder trucks, four engines, one squad and two battalion chiefs responded to the fire for a total of 24 firefighters working on scene.
The fire was contained within 20 minutes of fire department arrival. There were no reports of injuries and the American Red Cross was responding to the scene to assist four displaced residents.
The Vancouver Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.
