Two Vancouver residents were arrested Thursday after area law enforcement units responded to a report of a residential burglary in East Clark County.
On Thursday (Oct. 20) at about 9:26 a.m., personnel with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Camas Police Department and Washougal Police Department were dispatched to a residence on the 7500 block of NE Lessard Road on the report of residential burglary in progress.
A 9-1-1 caller reported two subjects were observed on surveillance video, accessing buildings on their property. The residence is located within Zone 2 of the Nakia Fire evacuations (which have since been removed). Responding units located an associated vehicle in a neighboring driveway. Contact was attempted with a male and female, both of whom fled on foot. The female suspect was contacted a short time later and was detained without incident.
Items observed inside the vehicle were confirmed to belong to the residents of the victim house. The vehicle was seized pending a search warrant. The female, 28-year-old Christina M. Pfeifer, of Vancouver, was arrested and booked in the Clark County Jail on the charges of Residential Burglary and Theft II.
Detectives did an extensive area search at nearby residences, searching for the male suspect, checking the security of residences, and looking for additional potential victims. Detectives were unable to locate the male suspect. After a several hour search, detectives cleared the area.
At approximately 7:40 p.m., CRESA received a 9-1-1 call from DNR Fire, which was requesting an ambulance and law enforcement for a male having an unknown medical problem at the 6900 block of NE Lessard Road. Medics with Camas-Washougal Fire and Clark County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the call.
The male, 31-year-old William V. Golyshevsky, of Vancouver, was confirmed to be the suspect of the earlier burglary. Golyshevsky was transported to a local hospital and will be booked in the Clark County Jail on the charges of Residential Burglary and Theft II.

Preying on evacuated families, unbelievable! But after what we heard about Florida and other states that had evacuations I guess it shouldn’t be. Until criminals get consequences for their actions, it won’t stop.
