CLARK COUNTY – Those who drive, walk, bike and roll on or near the State Route 503 corridor are invited to share their travel experiences to help inform a future long-term corridor improvement plan. This corridor study plan will address gaps in active transportation facilities, access to transit, vehicle traffic pain points, safety improvements and freight mobility planning.
Due to increased traffic delays along the SR 503 corridor between the cities of Vancouver and Battle Ground, the Washington State Department of Transportation will host an online open house to provide information about current issues along this stretch of highway, and to gather feedback through a questionnaire.
“We’re in the early stages of the project design process, so this is a great opportunity for those use the corridor to share their thoughts,” said Laurie Lebowsky-Young, WSDOT Southwest Region Planning Director. “We value feedback and input from our community partners, and we’re eager to hear what they have to share to help shape how we design a project.”
Virtual open house and public meeting information
Information about the project is available through an online open house beginning Tuesday, Feb. 21. Attendees can view the study area and provide their feedback through Friday, March 17. Additionally, the study team will host a live public meeting and provide a brief presentation on how SR 503 functions today, before opening up the meeting for public comments and questions.

This corridor study plan is funded for $200,000 through the WSDOT Transportation, Planning, Data and Research program. Funding for future improvements identified in this study are not approved.
