Clark County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes detectives arrested 31-year-old Justin N. Romero Wednesday; victim identified as 45-year-old Michael Neil Brachais
Clark County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) deputies made an arrest in the investigation of a homicide that took place Tuesday in Hazel Dell.
On Wednesday (July 7) at about 6:15 p.m., CCSO detectives, with the assistance of regional law enforcement partners, located and detained three persons of interest in relation to a homicide which occurred at 620 NW 82nd Street on Tuesday (July 6). A search warrant was served by the Southwest Regional SWAT Team at 1728 SE 6th Ave in Camas.
Occupants of the residence cooperated with the warrant service and were detained and interviewed by CCSO Major Crimes detectives. Based on the ongoing investigation, an adult male identified as Justin N. Romero, age 31, was arrested for Murder Second Degree. Romero was booked into the Clark County Jail. There are no other outstanding suspects and this case is an ongoing investigation.
On Thursday, the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased victim as 45-year-old Michael Neil Brachais.
No additional information will be released at this time due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.
