The suspect, 35-year-old Dylan J. Anderson was booked on an outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrant and other charges

A 35-year-old man was arrested earlier this week and during the investigation deputies recovered firearms and drugs from a storage unit in Clark County.

At about 1 a.m. on Monday (Nov. 28), a Clark County Sheriff’s Office deputy was conducting a patrol around the U-Haul located at 82^nd Street and NE Highway 99 in Clark County.  The deputy noticed a vehicle parked out front of the storage building occupied by a male and female.  

The deputy recognized the male in the driver’s seat as a suspect in a previous incident where the suspect eluded law enforcement in a vehicle.  Upon seeing the deputy, the suspect quickly entered the large storage building.  Responding deputies contained the building.  

The suspect tried to escape through a rear exit but was discouraged when he saw deputies.  He went back inside the storage unit and was ultimately arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant and a previous charge of attempting to elude law enforcement.  

The deputy continued his investigation with assistance from a Clark County Sheriff’s detective from the Drug Task Force and a Vancouver Police K9 Unit.  The K9 alerted the deputies to a storage unit believed to be associated with the suspect.  

After additional investigation, a search warrant was obtained and executed on the storage unit.  Deputies recovered firearms, four of which were stolen, as well as ammunition and ballistic-style body armor.  Nearly a quarter pound of suspected Methamphetamine and over 2,500 suspected Fentanyl pills were also uncovered.  

The suspect, 35-year-old Dylan J. Anderson, was booked on an outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrant, attempt to elude, six counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, four counts of possessing a stolen firearm, and possession with intent to distribute controlled substances.
