VANCOUVER – The Parks Foundation of Clark County has awarded a grant of $27,750 to the Police Activities League (PAL) of Southwest Washington in support of its Teen Late Night program, a summer initiative presented in partnership with the city of Vancouver.
The Teen Late Night program provides local teens with a safe and inclusive environment on a monthly basis year round, offering recreational opportunities, mentorship, and healthy activities designed to promote positive life choices. By extending access to recreation into late-night hours, the program strengthens community connections while helping prevent unsafe or unstructured alternatives.
“The Parks Foundation’s mission is to improve the quality of life in Clark County by supporting parks, trails, and recreational programs,” said Sean Janson, Development Director. “PAL’s Teen Late Night is an outstanding example of programming that uplifts our community and provides vital opportunities for youth.”
The Police Activities League has been a trusted partner in bridging the gap between law enforcement and youth, using recreation and mentorship as a foundation for building positive relationships. With the support of the Parks Foundation, PAL will continue to expand the reach and impact of Teen Late Night for the youth of Vancouver.
“We are deeply grateful for this support,” said Jesse Jimenez, Executive Director. “This funding ensures that Teen Late Night remains a safe and positive outlet for teens, helping them build connections that last far beyond the summer months.”
The Parks Foundation extends its thanks to PAL and the City of Vancouver for their commitment to the well-being of youth in Clark County.
