
The name of the motorcycle rider is being withheld pending next of kin notification
The operator of a motorcycle involved in a collision in North Clark County Saturday was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the rider was not available at the time of this report.
On Saturday (Sept. 3) at 5:56 p.m. members of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Clark County Fire District 3, and North Country Fire and EMS were dispatched to a motorcycle collision near the 17800 block of NE Lucia Falls RD. Responders arrived to find a gray 2005 Yamaha FZ6 motorcycle and its operator down off the southern edge of the roadway.
Witness statements and scene evidence suggest the Yamaha motorcycle was traveling eastbound on NE Lucia Falls RD at a speed in excess of the 40 mph speed limit when it was unable to negotiate a curve and left the roadway.
The name of the motorcycle rider is being withheld pending next of kin notification. The Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit was called to the scene and will continue the investigation.
