Firefighters from Clark County Fire District 6 battled a stubborn fire Tuesday that started in a large houseless encampment between Highway 99 and Interstate 5, west of the Bonneville Power Administration Ross Complex.
The blaze appears to have started somewhere inside the camp, and spread quickly to trees and other debris. No information on the actual cause of the fire was provided by Fire District 6 officials.
There is a report of one person suffering non-life-threatening injuries. No firefighters were injured.
