🎧 Future 42 Grades Clark County’s 2026 Legislators
New resource empowers voters with transparent analysis of local legislators’ voting records
Future 42 today announced the release of its 2026 Clark County Legislative Scorecard, now available online. This targeted resource provides Clark County residents with a clear, nonpartisan evaluation of how their state legislators voted on key issues during the 2026 legislative session.
The Clark County scorecard focuses on legislators representing the 17th, 18th, 20th, and 49th districts. As a concise, locally focused companion to the organization’s full statewide scorecard, it highlights critical floor votes on legislation affecting taxes, public safety, housing affordability, regulations, and the overall cost of living for Washington families and businesses.
“Voters have a right to know exactly how their elected officials are representing them in Olympia,” said Leslie Lewallen, Future 42 Clark County lead. “This scorecard serves as an essential accountability tool, equipping Clark County residents with straightforward information to assess their legislators’ records and make informed decisions at the ballot box.”

Scoring methodology
The scorecard evaluates votes on 12–15 major bills and amendments. Positions supporting tax relief, enhanced public safety, reduced regulatory burdens, and greater economic opportunity receive positive scores. Votes that increase taxes, compromise safety, or impose unnecessary regulations receive negative scores. Each entry includes a brief, factual summary of the bill’s impact.
