Fireworks regulations in the city of Battle Ground allow the use of fireworks for two days over the Independence Day Holiday
As you begin to plan your Fourth of July celebrations residents are encouraged to be prepared, be safe, be responsible, and equally as important be considerate.
Fireworks regulations in the city of Battle Ground allow the use of fireworks for two days over the Independence Day Holiday – July 3 from 9 a.m.-11 p.m. and July 4 from 9 a.m.-midnight. By adhering to these permitted hours, firework users can enjoy the excitement and merriment of their fireworks while those that do not prefer fireworks can know when to expect firework discharge and are able to prepare accordingly.
Fireworks stands are permitted to operate in the city from July 1 through July 4. Permitted stands are regularly inspected by the Fire Marshal. Fireworks should only be purchased from permitted stands; those purchased outside of the city or Clark County’s jurisdictions may not be safe or legal to use.
Regulations for the sale and use of fireworks vary in individual municipalities within Clark County, including unincorporated Battle Ground. An online interactive map allows the public to easily determine fireworks use regulations based on any street address within Clark County.
Firework Call Center
Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency (CRESA) will staff a fireworks and nuisance call center from July 1 & 2 from 8–10 p.m.; and July 3 & 4 from 8 p.m.–1a.m. Callers should refrain from calling 9-1-1 and/or 3-1-1 for fireworks violations.
Only call 9-1-1 if:
- Someone is injured by fireworks.
- There is a fire started by fireworks.
- You witness someone attempting to start a fire with a firework.
- You witness someone assaulting someone with fireworks.
Otherwise, the Firework Call Center can be reached at (360) 597-7888.
“The use of fireworks can lead to unintended injuries and fires,” said Battle Ground Fire Marshal Chris Drone, “It is important that you use every safety measure if choosing to use fireworks.”
The Battle Ground Police Department will be supporting the Fire Marshal’s Office and Fire District 3 with firework related calls, leading up to and through the holiday.
We think Independence Day is worth celebrating. If you celebrate with fireworks, do so safely. Know the regulations in your area, be prepared with a safety plan, and be respectful of your neighbors and surroundings.
