Clark County Sheriff’s Office seeks help from the public to solve 2015 homicide

On Jan. 2, 2015, the body of 40-year-old Jessica Newton was discovered near the Columbia River in Clark County

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public’s help to solve a homicide.

Little information is known about Newton’s whereabouts or acquaintances in mid-to-late December 2014. Newton was known to frequent East Portland and Downtown Portland homeless services.

Any tips about Newton, her last known activities or associates, or her death, may be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers of Oregon.
