Clark County Sheriff’s Office investigates death

Adult male found deceased in Camas home; Stephanie Westby, 47, taken into custody and charged with Murder 1st degree

CAMAS — The Clark County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that Camas resident Stephanie Westby has been charged with Murder in the 1st degree for her involvement that took place Sunday evening.

Shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 15) deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, as well as other partner agencies, responded to 19408 SE 42nd Circle in Camas on a report of a disturbance with a firearm.  

Responding Law Enforcement officials located a female and male inside the residence. The male was deceased.  The death is being investigated by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit.

Clark County Property Information records indicate the residence where the disturbance took place is owned by Joseph and Stephanie Westby.

According to the Clark County Jail roster, 47-year-old Stephanie Westby was booked into the Clark County Jail Monday on a charge of Murder 1.
