The consensus of delegates in their Legislative District caucuses overwhelmingly expressed their support for Semi Bird for Governor and Joe Kent for Congress
On Saturday (March 16) the Clark County Republican Party (CCRP) conducted its County Convention.
The 285 of the delegates and alternates that were elected from the CCRP precinct caucus meetings that were held on Feb. 3 took part in making changes to the party platform and principles.
Additionally, 155 delegates were elected to move on to the Republican State Convention that will be held in Spokane in April.
Washington State Republican Party Chairman Jim Walsh attended and spoke to an enthusiastic crowd of delegates, alternates and guests along with two of the CCRPs endorsed candidates, Semi Bird for Washington State governor and Joe Kent, who is running for Congress in Washington’s 3rd Congressional District.
Chairman Walsh said that Clark County’s convention was one of the best, most organized conventions that he’s seen. Washington state officially gave Donald Trump the needed delegates to win the presidential nomination and the delegates that were elected at this convention to move on to the State Convention have made their pledge to Donald Trump.
Additionally, the consensus of delegates in their Legislative District caucuses overwhelmingly expressed their support for Semi Bird for Governor and Joe Kent for Congress according to CCRP Chair Matthew Bumala.
