On Saturday afternoon, Clark County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) deputies located and arrested a suspect involved in a carjacking earlier in the day in Vancouver. Prior to the arrest, a male suspect in the carjacking was shot and killed in an officer-involved shooting.

At 10:38 a.m. Saturday, CCSO deputies responded to a reported carjacking in Hazel Dell in the 9200 Block of NE 15th Avenue. At 10:54 a.m., CCSO deputies were dispatched to a suspicious circumstance near the Goodwill in Salmon Creek, located at 14300 NE 20th Avenue. Witnesses stated that a male and female had attempted to carjack a vehicle with a person inside.
