Wayne Leonetti, 72, was arrested for Murder in the Second Degree
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating a domestic violence incident that resulted in the death of 80-year-old Alice Bolen.
On Wednesday (June 28) at about 11:12 a.m., the Clark County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) responded to a disturbance call at 19400 NW 61st Ave. A male identified as 72-year-old Wayne Leonetti called 9-1-1 to report he had just killed his wife.
Leonetti stated he “choked her” and she was not breathing. CCSO patrol responded and contacted Leonetti outside of his home. Leonetti was initially uncooperative but after a short standoff, he was detained.
Patrol deputies entered the home and located an adult female lifeless inside the residence. Medical aid was rendered by deputies, Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue, and American Medical Response but the female was ultimately declared deceased. No other occupants were inside the residence.
The CCSO Majors Crimes Unit (MCU) responded to the scene and is investigating. Currently, this incident appears to be a murder with the sole perpetrator in custody and there is no outstanding threat to the public.
Wayne Leonetti was arrested for Murder in the Second Degree. He will be booked into the Clark County Jail. The official cause and manner of death is being investigated by the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office.
