The site had been planning a delayed opening Friday with longer hours on Saturday.

“Due to winter weather safety concerns, we are closing the Clark County mass vaccination site Friday and Saturday,” the department said in a news release. “If you have an appointment scheduled for either of these days, you will be able to get your COVID-19 vaccine next week. All appointments have been rescheduled for Tuesday. Staff on site will honor your first dose appointment anytime during operating hours, which are 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Feb. 16.”

As of Feb. 6, more than 940,000 doses of vaccine have been administered statewide in Washington, with an average of 26,857 per day. The Fairgrounds vaccination site has been administering an average of 800 doses per day since it opened.

There is no immediate information on how this two-day closure might impact appointments for next week. We will update with any additional information that becomes available.
