Identity of 34-year-old will be revealed after autopsy

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation after the unidentified man’s body was found Thursday near SE 97th and Sunnybrook Blvd. in Clackamas. At 8:20 p.m. Wednesday evening, a 9-1-1 caller told dispatch her 34-year-old son, of Vancouver, was missing. He had last been seen on Tuesday near the Kaiser Sunnyside campus. 

A Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office deputy completed a missing-person report, and the subject was listed as a missing person. On Wednesday evening, the man’s family called to tell dispatchers they were searching the ravine near where the subject was last seen. Just after 7 a.m. Thursday morning, the family called 9-1-1 to report finding the subject’s body at the bottom of the ravine. The man’s body has been recovered for the Medical Examiner’s Office. The name of the man will be released after an autopsy. This investigation is ongoing.

TIP NW and the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office chaplain were on-scene to provide assistance for family and friends who were present at the recovery scene.

A family member told Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office personnel that the subject was beloved and that they appreciate the outpouring of support from friends and family.
