Families can spend an entire day talking and shopping with any of more than 150 vendors, getting tips from DIY demonstrations, shopping of the largest plant sales in the region and playing and learning at more than a dozen activities in the Kids’ Corner.
Held at the Clark County Event Center, the Home & Garden Idea Fair has become a much-anticipated community institution in Clark County. Every year, upwards of 15,000 people attend the show over two days.
Landscape Showcase
Attendees will have the opportunity to lose themselves among breathtaking displays created by the region’s most talented landscape designers. Landscapers participating in the 2023 show transform empty space into an awe-inspiring showcase that combines natural beauty with the best of outdoor living.
Ever dream of a water feature curved around a timber-framed gazebo or lush verdant foliage blanketing the earth and hiding a private oasis in your own backyard? See how local landscapers can turn your dreams into a reality and offer ideas you may have never thought possible.
Whether your yard goes on for acres or if it’s simply a little patio, the landscape showcase is something everyone will enjoy. Below is a list of landscape showcases that will be in the 2023 show, presented by the Building Industry Association of Clark County.

- A Van De Graaf Generator on hand so kids can get a hair-raising demonstration of static electricity.
- A button station where kids can color an electrical safety themed disc and watch as we turn it into a button, ready to wear.
- A make your own birdfeeder station where kids get to smear pinecones with peanut butter, roll them in bird seed and take them home to hang in their yard. Be prepared to get messy!
- A plant-a-seed station where kids gets their hands dirty filling up a peat pot with potting soil and a sunflower seed. Kids get to take these home and watch their flower grow!
- Electrical safety demonstrations, using our Electra-City display that teaches kids how powerful electricity can be and shows them how they can stay safe
